What is love?

What is love?
That binds beyond life on earth?
To all corners in a pair we fly.
Braving many a summer and winter.
Union is bliss, but parting such bitter sorrow.
Agony is intense for a lovelorn soul.
Oh give me a word.

Across the endless clouds.
Among mountains capped with snow.
Whither shall my lonesome shadow go?

Awaiting

“The most hardest thing to do,
Is waiting.
So,
Come back safely,
For I am here waiting for you.”
Those words,
Was the last thing he heard from her.

He had unlock the icy barrier,
That held her true self within.
He had given her another meaning to live on.
They were happy that they had each other,
Despite the little differences.
They were peaceful,
But it was not for long.

War came,
And he was made into a soldier.
The peaceful days were gone,
And the years of waiting arrived.

He spend his remaining days in that town,
Trying his best to make sure she would be safe.
She spent her remaining days with him,
Trying her best to company him.

Yet every night,
She prayed the day of parting wouldn’t come.
However in her heart,
She knew that day would come no matter what.
So she wished,
That he would come back to her safely.

The day of parting had arrived.
Sadly,
She bid him goodbye.
She couldn’t bear to see him go,
But she knew she had to.

He wished she would not forget him.
Fighting back his tears,
He turned and left.

The sun began to set,
Turning the sky into a gloomy red.
She stood there,
With tears streaming down her cheeks,
Waiting for his return.
